Several weeks ago I read some posts regarding dentistry in Lima on the website Living in Peru. I was interested because I had a dentist in the US tell me I needed to have a crown replaced. There were some endorsements for a dental office in Lima. I check the web page and when I got to Lima I made an appointment to see Dr. Enrique Yuen. I was able to get in very quickly and Dr. Yuen gave me a complete examination. One of the techniques he used was to incorporate digital photography in the examination and then sat down with me to show me how my teeth looked using computerized digital pictures. He specifically showed me how my crown looked from all angles and then compared them to people with gum disease and deterioration around their crowns. He pointed out I did not have any of the signs dentists look for and stated he did not believe the crown had to be replaced at this time. I found this approach very refreshing and honest; something I have come to not always expect in the US. I would highly recommend this dental clinic for anyone needing dental services while visiting Lima. Ronald RhodesVancouver, WA
